MY FAMILIE'S STORY
Once, my grandmother told me that when she was a
child, her father made a small doll out of wood for her. My grandmother was
always very fond of this thing. Although the doll was like Pinocchio: the body
was like a cone, and the hands like sticks-the toy was still the most favorite.
When my mother was born, my grandmother also bought her a toy made of wood. It
was a horse. How beautiful she was! My mother told me that even her mane and
the horseshoes on her feet were cut out. I so wanted to look at it, but
unfortunately it has not been preserved. When I was 5 years old, I was also
given a wooden toy. And although there were hundreds of different things in my
childhood-a toy made of wood was my favorite. It was a wooden bear with a drum.
Now it's my turn to choose a toy for my son. I thought about this for a long time. I
want this toy to really bring him joy and be with him for many years. And I
found such a manufacturer. He really has things that will stay in our family
for several generations. I chose a wooden car. I'm sure my son will like it!
Many toys were in our family: both large and small,
plastic and fabric, but toys made of wood were and are our favorite. Even now,
looking at that very first toy – my grandmother's doll, it seems that it has
not changed at all. Yes, the toy is a little old and worn out. But it is still
the same wooden doll, like Pinocchio with handles like sticks. It seems to me
that this is an eternal toy that can return to childhood at any age.
